Works Included: Provision of Consulting and Engineering services for the development of a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study for the expansion of Terminals’ Bulk Storage Facility at Port Botany.


Project Outline:

Synertec was contracted to provide consulting, design, project management and engineering services to develop the FEED study.

Synertec provided personnel and expertise in order to:

  • Finalise deliverables of the FEED study.
  • Generate tank datasheets for tender purposes.
  • Generate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) showing project specific pipe runs and the associated instrumentation.
  • Calculate pipe run lengths and valving/fittings/ instrumentation requirements for quotations.
  • Develop a User Requirements Specification (URS) detailing all of the project process requirements, and functional and design constraints.
  • Obtain quotations for the supply, installation and modification of a number of different pieces of equipment and pipework.
  • Obtain quotations for civil engineering works, modifications to the dock line and other works packages.
  • Provide a FEED report detailing the cost estimate and findings to be used as a basis for detailed design.
  • Facilitate and document meetings and communication between stakeholders.
