Synertec was incorporated in 1996, initially providing process control and automation services to the pharmaceutical sector. The Company quickly expanded beyond Life Sciences to provide plant automation design services to companies such as the Western Mining Corporation (now part of BHP Billiton). As the Company has grown the service-offering has been broadened to include electrical, mechanical, and process engineering as well as construction execution. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, Synertec employs 97 professionals and continues to grow.

The major achievements of the Company include the completion of a process automation and control project of more than 30,000 man-hours within a demanding eight-month project execution period, Front-End Engineering Design packages for manufacturing facilities with an estimated value totalling more than $200m and design through to commissioning of a 1,000m2 manufacturing facility.
