Managing Director - Michael Carroll

Michael is a founding principal of Synertec. Since its inception Michael has worked extensively in the design and delivery of high risk, complex and highly regulated processing and manufacturing facilities for many different industries. Michael’s current project involvement is to ensure early concepts and planning studies are robust and project risks are identified and managed accordingly. Michael has been responsible for the development of the process, mechanical, automation and facility design and delivery capabilities within Synertec. 

National Operations Manager - Joern Buelter

Joern is a successful business manager with experience in multiple international projects and obtains a high level of technical engineering knowledge. Highly motivated, Joern provides a senior level of Operations Management and Business Development and has a proven ability to succeed in high-pressure environments. Marketing and Development Strategy are developed by Joern in conjunction with the Managing Director and Senior Management Team.

Project Management Office (PMO) Manager - Kylie Brailsford

Kylie offers extensive experience in the life sciences, water and oil and gas industries, - managing and validating a variety of projects, specialising in automation projects and including all phases from project initialisation through to construction and handover. Kylie’s systematic approach allows her to manage projects from both the broad and detailed lenses providing project management and validation approaches that are both practical and compliant.

Business Development Manager - Lindy Matthews

Leading Synertec's business development activities, Lindy is highly motivated and ambitious Electrical Engineer driven by challenge and continual learning. She demonstrates excellent people skills as both, a team player and team leader, bringing people, technical and engineering leadership to a team. Lindy is a conscientious, reliable and hardworking individual with extensive experience in product and business development. 

Business Development Manager - David Coghill

With a weatlh of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and extensive site based involvement in Australia, North America, Europe, Africa and Asia, David is driving Synertec's business development activities within the Oil & Gas Sector. Working within the leadership team, David is a vital member of in developing Synertec's presence and reach.

Quality Manager - Michelle Muscara

In addition to managing Synertec's ISO Acredited Quality System. Michelle offers a wealth of experience in Process Engineering and Project Management within the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Water Treatment and Dairy industries. Michelle has extensive experience managing capital projects involving complex installations, critical timelines and stringent quality requirements.

Engineering Manager - Ted Perkins

As Synertec’s engineering manager, Ted is responsible for ensuring proposed designs meet the fabrication and/or construction requirements. During execution phases, Ted is responsible for fabrication and/or construction delivery, whether they be turn-key or hourly rate, as well as the OH&S and other legislative requirements of works. Ted is a key stakeholder in many major industrial projects, from the design office, through to the fabricators workshop, to site and into production.


Instrumentation & Electrical Manager - Brad Beard

Brad has a broad background of experience as a Project Manager and Engineer (Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineering). He leads a team of Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers that are working on control systems, electrical and analyser packages within the hydrocarbons, infrastructure and food and beverage sectors. Brad also has a vast knowledge of electrical equipment in hazardous areas. Brad has a proven track record in design, engineering, management, commissioning, risk assessment, verification and validation of systems. 

Automation Manager - Sarkis Efe

Sarkis is an experienced engineer working in a range of industries including pharmaceutical, terminalling, nuclear and water. In addition to managing the Automation Department, Sarkis works closesly with Melbourne Water at the Eastern Treatment Plant (ETP) where he manages the day to day improvements (including the new Tertiary Treatment Plant) as well as major upgrade projects and renewals of the PCS7 system on site. Sarkis has significant experience and knowledge in Control systems, specifically PCS7, making him a valuable member of the Synertec team.

Design Office Manager - Julian Tottman

Julian has extensive experience with hazardous, clean and containment construction design and construction supervision. Julian offers extensive experience gained from architectural design roles of building process of commercial and industrial facilities including medical clinics. Julian’s combined skills in both design knowledge and onsite supervision means he has a practical understanding of the construction process.
