Our Leadership Team

Mr. Carroll is a founding principal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Synertec and a significant beneficial owner of Synertec. He has successfully grown the business of Synertec since it was first established in 1996.

His leadership style is ‘hands-on’ and visionary, ensuring efficient and robust internal processes that directly support the strategic direction of Synertec.

Mr. Carroll is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Degree in Applied Science (Applied Chemistry) and a postgraduate qualification in Chemical Engineering.

Andrew is a professional engineer and project manager with over 20 years’ experience in the infrastructure and utilities industries. He has worked with clients across Australia to deliver complex engineering projects and efficiently manage their asset base.

His career has spanned senior operational and strategic roles within both public and private organisations where he has a strong track record of leading high performing teams to deliver operational excellence, business growth as well as exemplary client outcomes. Andrew is passionate about leading dynamic, multidisciplinary teams that are solving problems for our partners and creating new technologies for the transition to a green economy.

General Manager – Engineering

Yash Gala is an experienced finance professional having worked in Manufacturing, FMCG and the Technology & Innovation sectors. Yash’s expertise includes successful M&A, ERP system implementation, delivering outstanding performance improvements, FX management, capital raising and providing reports, analysis, strategy development and commercial advice.

Yash is a qualified CPA, team player, collaborator and enjoys the challenge of working in dynamic financial environments with partners and stakeholders to deliver superior results for owners and shareholders.

Chief Financial Officer 

Mr. Harris is the Head of Technology Solutions at  Synertec. Mr. Harris has experience overseeing Future Business and Technology, as well as corporate development, investor relations and finance functions for the Group.

Mr. Harris is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an Australian Chartered Accountant, and fellow of both the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and the Governance Institute of Australia. He has over 25 years of local and international experience in senior leadership and board positions for global and ASX-listed companies.

Head of Powerhouse Solutions

Jason is Synertec’s General Manager of Technology. He has delivered large, complex automation projects across a wide range of industries including rail, water, gas, and mining. He is an expert in total plant integration, process control, optimisation, and large scale delivery of automation systems such as Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). Jason’s vast technical knowledge coupled with his project management skills have allowed him to consistently deliver robust and cost effective solutions for his partners.

General Manager – Powerhouse Solutions

David is Synertec’s Head of Engineering. With over 15 years of experience in Control Systems and Engineering, across a range of platforms.

David has led and delivered significant infrastructure projects and worked in a range of industries including Rail, WWT, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage and Mining. He is self-motivated, passionate and prides himself on producing high quality commercial and project outcomes for his clients.

Lee has extensive experience in engineering and commercial activity over more than 15 years working in Australian industry. He has worked on complex, large-scale projects across a wide range of industries including defence, gas, wastewater, desalination, manufacturing, and power distribution. As Synertec’s Head of Business Development, Lee leads major bids and proposals, and supports Synertec’s client requirements throughout the business lifecycle.

Ashleigh’s expertise includes a detailed understanding of financials, project management, audit, documentation, and continual improvement. Ashleigh has held key roles on many of Synertec’s systems engineering projects, including project managing the systems implementation for the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop. Her knowledge and experience enable her to bring both technical and commercial perspectives to her projects and her clients.

As Head of Strategy and Transformation, Ashleigh is accountable for driving and managing the execution of Synertec’s strategic planning process. She oversees a team responsible for project controls at a portfolio level and she is also responsible for the implementation of Synertec’s performance management system, which provides regular dashboard reports to chart performance.

Head of Business Systems

Kylie has over 25 years’ experience in the life sciences, water and energy industries – managing and validating a variety of projects, specialising in automation projects and including all phases from project initialisation through to construction and handover.

Kylie’s systematic approach allows her to manage projects from both the broad and detailed lenses providing project management and validation approaches that are both practical and compliant.

Kylie has worked both directly for a large manufacturing organisation as well as with consultancies in Australia, Singapore and Ireland.

Industry Manager – Life Sciences

Sean is Synertec’s Water Industry portfolio Manager. He is a highly experienced Automation and E&I Engineer with a proven track record in directing multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes.

Sean has overseen the successful delivery of major projects within the water portfolio and held roles as Program Manager and Contract Manager, supporting some of the Synertec’s water sector’s largest clients.

Industry Manager – Water

Arjhun is Synertec’s Transport Industry Manager. An experienced automation engineer, Arjhun brings deep expertise in SCADA systems, cybersecurity, and advanced programming to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for critical transport infrastructure.

Arjhun has led major automation projects within the rail sector, driving innovation and efficiency through agile methodologies and strong stakeholder engagement. His ability to balance technical detail with strategic delivery makes him a trusted partner for clients seeking robust and future-ready transport solutions.

Industry Manager – Transport 

Dayo leads Synertec’s Energy and Resources portfolio. A seasoned automation and control systems specialist, Dayo has a proven track record in guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, practical, and value-driven engineering solutions.

Dayo has overseen the successful delivery of complex projects across the energy sector, including safety and control systems for major infrastructure programs. Known for combining technical insight with commercial acumen, Dayo ensures outcomes that meet client needs while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Industry Manager – Energy & Resources

Michelle is a deep expert in process engineering, validation and project management within the pharmaceutical industry with over 20 years of experience. Michelle has extensive experience in design, commissioning and validation of facilities especially biopharmaceutical and vaccine manufacture; and services including clean rooms, HVAC, water systems and reticulated services. She brings a deep understanding of quality to projects and has excellent communication, team-building and problem-solving skills.

As Quality Manager, Michelle is responsible for Synertec’s integrated management system and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 45001. She supports the team by providing quality assurance and training. 

Quality Manager

Daniel is Synertec’s HSE Advisor, bringing a practical engineering mindset to how health, safety and environmental requirements are applied across the business. Alongside his role as a Lead Engineer, he works closely with project teams to ensure safety is considered early and carried through every stage of delivery.

Daniel holds a Certificate IV in OHS and draws on his engineering experience working in technically complex environments. Having previously worked as both a site manager and site safety manager, he understands the realities of delivery on site and the importance of safety systems that are clear, workable and aligned with how work is actually done.

Daniel takes a straightforward, hands‑on approach to HSE, supporting teams with clear guidance and practical decision‑making that balances risk, compliance and delivery.
