Synertec offers clients a well-established and systematic approach to project management. Project Management is a requirement of every project that Synertec executes, and therefore all of Synertec’s lead consultants have project management experience and training. Project Management is also offered as a specialised service direct to clients, both utilising Synertec’s in house systems and tools or using our skills and experience within the clients project management environment.

In support of all types and levels of Project Management, Synertec has a dedicated Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO implements and manages the tools and systems that the Project Managers use to keep projects on time and within budget. The PMO also offers training, mentoring and specialist skills to provide support direct to PMs on projects, such as advanced scheduling expertise.

Synertec’s project management systems have embedded methodologies for concepts such as ISO 9001, risk and change management, quality gate and regulatory compliance, as well as standard project management philosophies for time, cost and quality management.

Synertec has extensive experience in construction management. The company has undertaken numerous extensions and upgrades to existing facilities whilst maintaining production as well as building ‘green sites’.

Clean room design and construction are among Synertec’s core capabilities having worked with ISO 14644 series of standards for clean rooms for many years.

Alongside Synertec’s track record and experience as a registered Commercial Builder in Australia, clients are assured that from the project onset ‘constructability’ is integrated into our design thus minimising risk during the construction phase.

Service Level Agreements

We offer Service Level Agreement (SLAs) to clients who require ongoing maintenance, training and support – whether it be remote or onsite. Alongside ensuring expected service levels are met at all times, this arrangement allows clients to access Synertec staff who have expertise in the systems which are installed on their plants – whether it be flow computers, analysers and sampling systems or control systems. 

If clients are able to identify the business risk of a breakdown to their plant, then Synertec can tailor a Service Level Agreement to meet their needs. Agreements range from business hours support for specific equipment to full 24/7 support across a whole plant with multiple ‘on-call’ engineers. 

We currently have SLAs in place with Clients to support Wheatstone, Gorgon and APLNG, to name a few.

24/7 Support

As mentioned, in addition to Service Level Agreements, Synertec can offer 24/7 Support for heightened peace of mind. Services that Synertec can provide to ensure the operation of your plant include:

  • 24/7 Support services: When the plant needs to be kept running, Synertec can provide a robust multilevel 24/7 support service. 
  • Preventive Maintenance Service: Catch the problems before they cause major plant downtime. With suitable preventative maintenance procedures that evolve as the nominated site evolves.
  • Change Request System: Synertec can help control the changes to any system to ensure the smooth operation of a plant.

Relevant Experience

Synertec currently provides ongoing support across a variety of industries from water treatment facilities to rail.

For example, Synertec has been continuously engaged by Melbourne Water since 2007 to deliver 24/7 support to the Siemens PCS7 process control system at the Eastern Treatment Plan. The Eastern Treatment Plant is a major wastewater treatment plant for the Melbourne Metropolitan area and as such must run continuously every day of the year. Waste is treated from raw sewage to Class A re-usable water.

Melbourne Water required a solutions partner to provide the support for the Siemens PCS 7 (DCS) at their Eastern Treatment Plant (ETP), providing 24/7 support and project services. Over the life of the contract, Synertec has supported numerous CAPEX projects including PCS7 version upgrades, hardware upgrades, alarm rationalisations and plant integrations.
